Veal turns back on WNBA
One of Australia's top women basketballers, Kristen Veal, has pulled out of a lucrative contract with American club Phoenix Mercury.
Veal says she hopes to play again for her Australian team, the Canberra Capitals, in a few months.
But 21-year-old Veal says she has returned to Australia to consider her future.
"There are so many other interests I have in my life that I want to pursue outside of basketball, and that's one of the big reasons for making this decision," she said.
