Dear Canberra TransACT Capitals Supporters!!!
The first thing I would like to say is a HUGE thank you to all the TransACT Caps supporters for making me feel so welcome! Your support at our home games has been fantastic.
I have to say that I never imagined that I would be back living in Canberra after my days at the AIS. I still cant believe that was nearly 14 years ago!! I am very happy to be here though and Canberra is still the same friendly place, but the weather has been a lot warmer!!
When Graffy called me to ask me to come and play with the TransACT Caps I was both excited and nervous about how I would fit in to this championship team. My nerves were laid to rest at my first practice session as my new teammates could not have been more welcoming. This team and club is so professional and dedicated to being the best team in the country and I am both honoured and proud to be a part of it this season.
This week we play my old club, a team I have played over 200 WNBL games for, and where I started my basketball career as a scrawny 7 year old. Needless to say this adds a little more emotion to the game for me. As a team and, as in every game, we will give our all to ensure our unbeaten record remains in tact. Personally I could think of nothing better than kicking my old teams BUTT!
See you at the game!
GO CAPS
