The Canberra TransACT Capitals sent a message to the rest of the ‘Price Attack’ WNBL yesterday with a 54-53 victory over the Adelaide Lightning.
Inspired performances from Kristen Veal (17 points) and Jo Hill (16 points) led the way as Canberra lifted its game all over the court to defeat the Lightning.

Canberra went further towards silencing their critics who have claimed that the TransACT Capitals cannot win without star Lauren Jackson. They have won two out of their five games with Jackson on the sideline and have shown they are more than a ‘One Women Show’.

The TransACT Capitals will have a further chance to prove themselves as they travel to Adelaide on Friday and Perth on Saturday for the away double.
