The Canberra TransACT Capitals are back on track with a win on the weekend over the AIS. Currently sitting in second place on the ‘Price Attack’ WNBL ladder, Canberra are looking to go one better and finish of the regular season on top! This weekend sees the TransACT Capitals host the winless Perth Lynx with a win for Canberra well and truly on the cards.
Injury Update
The injury concerns that have plagued the TransACT Capitals during the first half of the season are still worrying the reigning champions. Caps forward Jo Hill will undergo another MRI today to probe her troublesome right ankle. Hill played limited minutes against the AIS and will not train or play against Perth this weekend.
Nerrida Cooper who re-injured her left knee against the AIS on November 21, underwent a successful surgery last week at National Capital Private Hospital in Canberra. She will now, once again, begin her long rehabilitation with a view to returning to play for the TransACT Capitals next season.
Lauren Jackson played 25 minutes against the AIS on Saturday night and will gradually return to training this week and will definitely suit up against Perth this weekend
