Canberra Capitals Two Key Signings For Caps

It's been a big week for the Canberra TransACT Capitals with the signing of Jenny Whittle and Kellie Abrams.

Two-time Olympic medal winner Jenny Whittle has signed a one year contract with the TransACT Capitals and will arrive in Canberra early September to prepare for the 2004-05 WNBL season with the team.

Jenny last played WNBL for Bulleen 1999/2000 season averaging 13pts, 6 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game before doing stints in both Spain and France.

The Caps forward line will go from one of the smallest to one of the tallest in the league having both Jackson and Whittle in the line up.

Whittle is one of the few centres in the world today to possess a deadly 3-point shot, as well as the ability to play interior defence and block shots.

The Canberra TransACT Capitals are also excited to announce that Kellie Abrams has re-signed with the team for a further two years.

Abrams has been a central figure in the Caps line up for the past few seasons.
